Features/Importing your files
Coming in an updateIn testing now, and arriving in a software update.
Give it the file you were sent.
A bank statement, a party's ledger of your account, a supplier's bill. A PDF, a spreadsheet, or a photograph taken on a phone. It reads them on your own PC, checks them against themselves and against your books, and the entries appear.
| What arrived | File | give it to |
|---|---|---|
| September bank statement | PDF, locked | Bank Import 2 D |
| Prime Polymers' ledger of us | A/c Statement 3 A | |
| Sunrise Lighting Works bill 09/34 | Import a Bill 8 R | |
| A cash-counter passbook page | Photo | Bank Import 2 D |
Each has its own page.
The same reader is behind all three, so a bank's statement, a party's statement and a supplier's bill are the same problem to it: find the table, read the columns by their headings, and prove the figures add up.
Bank Statement Import
The bank's own PDF, even a password-protected one, Excel, CSV or a photograph. Every line comes in with its ledger proposed, and nothing posts until you tick it.

A supplier's or customer's ledger of your account, read from their file and paired line by line with yours. What disagrees is listed, and can be posted.

A supplier's PDF, or a photograph of the paper bill, becomes a purchase with its stock. The GSTIN says who sent it, and the sums are checked first.

A photograph is read by character recognition on your own PC. It fetches its language file once, about 11 MB, and works without a connection after that.
