What the law asks a bill to say, where it says it.

Most of a GST bill is required, not decoration. Here is style A, marked up.

  1. Your GSTIN and PANAt the top of every page.
  2. The copy it isRule 48 wants three copies for goods: original, duplicate, triplicate. The wording on each is yours to set.
  3. Their GSTIN and the place of supplyWith the state and its code, worked out from the party.
  4. Reverse charge, statedWhether tax is payable on reverse charge, in words.
  5. An HSN code on every lineRead from the item, from a 22,241-code master.
