Day thirty-one

Nothing is deleted, and nothing is held to ransom.

The software asks for a licence key. Everything you entered stays on your PC, untouched: nothing is deleted and nothing is locked away. Buying a licence opens it again with your work exactly where you left it.

You can also take a backup out at any point during the trial, including after it has ended. A backup is an ordinary file: yours to keep, and yours to take elsewhere.

  1. Download the installer for Windows or Mac from the download page.
  2. Run it. The first time, Windows or macOS asks you to confirm, and the download page shows where to click.
  3. Set up your company with its name, GSTIN and financial year, and start keying.
